The Computer Programming program will give you a solid foundation in the competitive job skills required for today’s information technology (IT) field. By focusing on both the theoretical and practical aspects of software programming, students will gain the problem-solving skills necessary to address real-world challenges. Admission Requirements: Entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or Mature Student Status for applicants aged 19 or over without one. Subject prerequisites are Grade 12 English at the C or U level and Grade 12 mathematics at the C, M or U level. International and non-native-English-speaking applicants must meet Durham College's general English Language Proficiency Policy: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 88 with no section below 22, PTE Academic 53 with no section below 49, CAEL 60 overall, or Duolingo English Test 110. No minimum GPA, portfolio or interview is stated on the program's own admission page; applicants missing a prerequisite can pursue Durham's Academic Upgrading and other academic-preparation pathways.
