The Mobile Applications Development program is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate delivered over two years across four semesters. Students learn to architect, develop and test mobile applications that are secure and scalable, with an emphasis on user experience design. The curriculum uses current development tools and laboratories, and students are required to have an Apple or Android laptop, with access to an Apple lab for iOS development. The fourth semester includes a mandatory work-integrated learning component, either a co-op work term or a workplace simulation. Coursework is structured to prepare graduates for industry certification exams, including Apple Developer, Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google UX Design. The program is offered only to international students and is not approved for domestic government funding. Admission requires a postsecondary diploma, advanced diploma or degree in information technology, software development or an equivalent field, or demonstrated competence through educational and related work experience.
