BA/BS in Business Analytics and Decision Making

The Certificate in Business Analytics and Decision Making is offered by the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University as an additional credential for students already admitted to a Business Major or Joint Major programme. It exposes students to analytics tools used for competitive advantage in business, covering data analytics and visualization, business process analysis, customer analytics, business analytics, and business data management, plus one elective in marketing research or simulation-based decision-making and a second in decision analysis or web analytics. Students complete a minimum of 25 units, made up of five required courses, two elective courses, and a capstone analytics project (BUS 439). A minimum grade point average of 2.00, calculated across all courses applied toward the certificate, is required for graduation, and individual courses require at least a C- grade for credit toward the credential.
