BA/BS in Business Technology Management

The Certificate in Business Technology Management is offered by the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University as an additional credential for students already admitted to a Business Major or Joint Major programme. It covers innovation, leadership and the implementation of change in organizations, with a focus on the information and communications technology (ICT) area. Students complete five required core courses -- Project Management, Business Process Analysis, Business Analytics, Business Data Management, and Managing Information Technology for Business Value -- together with one of two specializations, Management Information Systems or Financial Services, and an experiential or service-learning component. Entry into the 300- and 400-division business courses that make up the certificate requires a minimum 2.30 overall SFU Business course grade point average, and a minimum grade point average of 2.00 across all courses applied toward the certificate is required for graduation.
