BA/BS in Information Systems in Business Administration and Computing Science

Information Systems in Business Administration and Computing Science is a joint major offered by the Beedie School of Business and the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University, focused on the intersection of computing and business decision-making. Students study data communications, operating systems, and database structures alongside core business administration coursework, developing the analytical and technical skills needed to design and manage information systems within organizations. Graduates may complete the joint major toward either a Bachelor of Science, awarded through the Faculty of Applied Sciences, or a Bachelor of Business Administration, awarded through the Beedie School of Business. Courses are offered at the Burnaby and Surrey campuses, with some sections available online or in the evening. Because the program is delivered jointly, students must satisfy the admission, continuation, and graduation requirements of both the Beedie School of Business and the School of Computing Science throughout their studies.
