Sustainable Energy Engineering: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Admission Requirements: The program page states its own prior-degree and evidentiary conditions but no GPA or language-test figure: applicants need a master's degree in a related field, submitted evidence of capability to undertake substantial original research, and an identified faculty supervisor, on top of satisfying SFU's general Graduate General Regulation 1.3. Under that university-wide standard a doctoral applicant needs a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on SFU's 4.33 scale, or 3.67 (A-) on the last 60 undergraduate units, and international applicants whose prior study was not in English must meet SFU's general proficiency standard: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no section below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 90 overall with no section below 20, Duolingo English Test 125 overall with no section below 105, PTE Academic 65 overall with no section below 60, or CAEL 70 overall with no section below 60.
