Program details

Overview

This two-year diploma prepares graduates for apprenticeships spanning the electrical, sheet-metal, refrigeration and air-conditioning trades, building the mechanical and problem-solving skills needed to install and service heating and cooling systems. Coursework follows the TSSA Gas Technician 3 and 2 syllabus toward Gas Technician licensing, and prepares students for Refrigeration Handling Certification. Graduates typically work as installers or service technicians on heating, cooling and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial, industrial and institutional settings, with other paths into wholesale, distribution, sales or service-representative roles for equipment manufacturers.
