Overview
The internet continues to evolve at a rapid pace and the data of organizations have never been more vulnerable than now. Cyber attacks are costing organizations hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars per occurrence, and happen so often they are often featured in the news. There is a worldwide shortage of cybersecurity professionals as every organization seeks ways to make their data more secure. Once you graduate from this eight-month, full-time graduate certificate program, you will be equipped with skills to protect your organization’s computers, servers, networks, and applications from breaches and unauthorized access. The courses in the program will give you an edge in detecting breaches, computer forensics, threat hunting, and penetration testing.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: St. Lawrence College's Cybersecurity graduate certificate requires a two- or three-year college diploma or a university degree, or equivalent; applicants with international credentials are directed to the college's application-portal transcript-evaluation process. Domestic applicants who do not meet the minimum academic admission requirement for a post-graduate certificate program may request an alternate admission assessment after applying through the Ontario College Application Service, with supporting documentation. The program page does not state its own language-proficiency scores; applicants whose first language is not English are assessed against St. Lawrence College's institution-wide scale for Fast-Track, Graduate Certificate and Degree programs: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0), TOEFL iBT 4.5 overall (83 under the pre-January-2026 scale), PTE Academic 60, CAEL 60, or Duolingo 120 (no sub-score below 95).
