Trades - Apprenticeship in Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Apprenticeship

The Residential Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic Apprenticeship at St. Lawrence College delivers the in-school training component of the Ontario 313D apprenticeship program. Training is organized into two levels, each combining 16 weeks of theory delivered online with 4 continuous weeks of in-person practical training at the Kingston campus, alongside required on-the-job training with a sponsoring employer. Completing both the in-school and on-the-job components usually takes about four years in total. Apprentices must be sponsored by an employer and registered with Ontario's Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development before beginning the in-school levels. On completing both levels and the required on-the-job hours, apprentices work toward certification as a qualified residential air conditioning systems mechanic, and graduates receive a Statement of Achievement/College Certificate for each level completed.
