Overview
The Program is a sophisticated, technical and specialized program. It has been designed for practitioners already employed in the real estate industry who want to upgrade their education, and for highly-motivated people seeking to join the industry. The Program is designed for flexibility. Most courses are offered two or three times per year. Students can complete the program at a pace that best suits their busy schedules. By taking one course per term, the Program can be completed in just two years, although students can accelerate completion to one year by taking more than one course per semester.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: UBC Sauder's Real Estate Division states its own admission requirement for this certificate: Grade 12 standing or equivalent, evidenced by official high school transcripts, with familiarity with basic algebra recommended because several courses build on it. Applicants who have not completed high school may still be admitted as mature students. Students with relevant prior post-secondary study may apply for transfer credit toward the certificate, but must still complete at least 50% of the program's total credits at UBC to qualify for the credential. No English-language test score is published for this program. Applications are made directly to the Real Estate Division rather than through UBC's central admissions office, and the division notes that course requirements can change from year to year as the program is updated.

Application Deadline:Domestic and international undergraduate applicants both apply through EducationPlannerBC for Winter Session 2027/28 (September 2027 entry) and Summer 2027: applications open in early October 2026 and the equal-consideration deadline is 15 January 2027, 11:59 p.m. PST, the same date for both groups; a few programs keep reviewing late applications on a space-available basis afterwards. Earlier dates apply only to entrance-award consideration -- 15 November 2026 for the International Scholars Program and 1 December 2026 for Presidential/Centennial/Beyond Tomorrow scholars. Several limited-entry programmes -- Law, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing (advanced entry), Occupational/Physical Therapy, Social Work and Teacher Education -- set their own earlier deadlines from October 2026 through February 2027. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
