Overview

The Bachelor of Science, General Science, provides opportunities for practical, hands-on experience across a spectrum of science disciplines in the classroom, in the lab, and in the field. In addition, there are opportunities to work with nationally and internationally recognized professor-researchers in their research laboratories. Communication skills and computer literacy are promoted. Flexibility in the program allows you to pursue interests in disciplines outside your area of specialization.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Thompson Rivers University's program page for the General Science major sets English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 at a minimum of 73% (or equivalent completion of ESAL 0570 with ESAL 0580, or ENGL 0600, or ENGL 0601) as the entrance English requirement, with no separate international test score published on this page. Science prerequisites for the major are Life Sciences 11 or Anatomy and Physiology 12 at C+ or better, Chemistry 11 (or equivalent), Pre-Calculus 12 at a minimum of C+ completed within the past two years, and Physics 11 (or equivalent, or PHYS 1130).
