Program details

Overview

This program leads to a Master of Cybersecurity (MC), a one-year, course-based graduate program delivered in person through the Yeates School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. First offered in Fall 2025, the curriculum combines cyber defense and network security with risk management and governance, covering five core courses spanning information assurance, risk management, security frameworks and compliance, security architecture, and security technologies, plus three electives drawn from areas including privacy and law, business continuity, cyber range simulation, software security, network security, and applied cryptography. Students train hands-on through the Catalyst Cyber Range platform. The program targets experienced cybersecurity professionals seeking leadership advancement and professionals from related technical fields moving into cybersecurity. It is not funded by Ontario's Ministry of Colleges and Universities, so students are not eligible for OSAP or provincial grants such as OGS.
