BA/BS in Ethics, Society and Law - Major

Ethics, Society and Law is an undergraduate major offered through the University of Toronto's Faculty of Arts & Science and administered within Trinity College. The program is designed to let students examine major contemporary questions through an interdisciplinary lens drawing on the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Its required core courses run across the second, third, and fourth years, complemented by elective courses drawn from four groupings, ethics, society, law, and further electives, spanning subjects such as philosophy, religion, anthropology, women and gender studies, economics, geography, political science, sociology, criminology, and environmental studies, with minimum distribution requirements across the groupings. Entry is limited and requires prior completion of a set number of credits along with a minimum grade average in specified courses.
