The Bachelor of Education - Junior/Intermediate is a post-degree teacher education program at Tyndale University preparing candidates to teach the Junior (Grades 4 to 6) and Intermediate (Grades 7 to 10) divisions in Ontario schools. The program totals 60 credit hours combined with 82 practicum days in partner schools, integrating coursework across concept, content, context and professional practice requirements with supervised classroom experience. Candidates complete an Additional Qualification (AQ) alongside the degree, choosing one of five areas: foundational literacy, environmental education, special education, equity and diversity, or early years; the AQ begins online in June and concludes with a two-week on-campus intensive at the end of the program. Admission requires prior study in one of the province's teachable disciplines at the university level. Graduates are prepared to seek registration with the Ontario College of Teachers for the Junior and Intermediate grade divisions.
