Biophysics and Molecular Physiology is a research option of the 45-credit Master's in Physics at Universite de Montreal, offered jointly with the Department of Physiology in the Faculty of Medicine. Students pursue a thesis, non-thesis, or directed-work pathway, conducting original research under a confirmed faculty supervisor within one of the university's structured physics research groups; minimum full-time study is three terms, with full-time and part-time options on the Montreal and MIL campuses. The broader physics program guarantees funding of at least 15,600 CAD per year and offers additional options in astrophysics, condensed matter, particle physics, mathematical physics, medical physics, and plasma physics, some with international partnerships. Graduates pursue careers as researchers, medical physicists, or scientific programmers, or continue to doctoral study. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in physics or a related field and a confirmed research supervisor. The program admits students in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms.
