This bachelor's degree in geology covers the history, formation, evolution, and management of terrestrial materials, combining foundational geology with applied environmental and geotechnical studies. The 90-credit program addresses traditional mining exploration and exploitation alongside environmental applications and geotechnical interventions, preparing graduates for work across the resource and environmental sectors. Coursework includes mineralogy, petrology, structural geology, hydrogeology, and field mapping, building the technical foundation needed for both exploration and environmental-management careers. The program is delivered on campus at UQAC's Saguenay location in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, offered in both full-time and part-time study regimes, with admission possible in the fall and winter terms. It is open to international applicants studying full-time, and graduates are prepared for roles in mineral exploration, environmental consulting, and geotechnical practice.
