This Certificate in Physical Activity Sciences at Universite du Quebec a Chicoutimi is a 30-credit, on-campus program. It provides foundational competencies in physical activity sciences for people pursuing school or extracurricular work in the field, whether for personal enrichment, professional advancement, career transition, or supplementary qualification. The 30-credit curriculum combines seven required courses, covering health-education didactics, motor-skill analysis, cognitive and motor development, the locomotor system, exercise physiology, and a capstone project, with three elective courses: one from sports-coaching or sport-psychology options, and two chosen from athlete support, health promotion, neuromuscular relaxation, or nutrition offerings.
