This is a 19-credit second-cycle short graduate program in cosmétologie at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, described by the university as unique in North America. It specializes graduates already trained in a related scientific field in the marketing, project management and results-valorization sides of cosmetics research and development. The program is delivered in person and can be completed full-time or part-time, with intakes in the fall, winter and summer terms. Admission is open to holders of a bachelor's degree in chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemical engineering or a related field, or to candidates without that academic background who bring at least two years of relevant professional experience in cosmetology. The program suits science graduates or cosmetics-industry professionals who want to move into the commercial, managerial and R&D-valorization dimensions of the sector rather than pure laboratory research.
