This 30-credit certificate develops understanding of contemporary migration phenomena and interethnic relations, focused on the Canadian and Quebec contexts, offered full-time or part-time at the Montreal campus with fall and winter admission. Five required courses (15 credits) cover politics and minorities, ethnicity, immigration, racism, and intercultural services, complemented by four elective courses (12 credits) drawn from disciplines including anthropology, education, media, geography, history, law, linguistics, organizational management, psychology, religion, and social work, plus one free elective (3 credits). Students examine the sociocultural, sociopolitical, and psychosocial dimensions of adaptation and build critical reflection on intervention models used in multiethnic settings such as community organizations, schools, and public services. The programme is non-contingent, with no enrolment cap, and is open to students from a wide range of prior disciplinary backgrounds.
