This Bachelor of Education program trains teachers to work with students who have disabilities or learning and adaptation difficulties, across preschool, primary, secondary, and adult education settings. The 120-credit, four-year (eight-trimester) curriculum covers didactics in French, mathematics, science, and social studies alongside orthopedagogy, student development, classroom management, and assessment. In the fourth semester, students choose a specialization in either preschool-primary or secondary-adult education. Four supervised school internships, one per year, provide more than 720 hours of field experience across five administrative regions of Quebec, with an optional international placement. Admission requires a Quebec DEC with a minimum R-score of 22, or alternate routes through prior university study, an out-of-province diploma with at least a 12/20 average and C1-level French, or six months of relevant paid or volunteer experience. Graduates who pass the TECFEE French-writing certification test receive a permanent teaching certificate.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires a Quebec DEC with a minimum R-score (cote R) of 22; files scoring between 20 and 22 are considered with a motivation letter and possible interview. All applicants must meet UQAR's French-language proficiency policy and pass the TECFEE written French certification test to obtain the teaching certificate. Admission is offered for the fall and winter trimesters; winter entry began on a part-time basis starting winter 2026, with full-time winter entry possible depending on course availability.
