This Certificate in Artistic Creation at Universite du Quebec a Rimouski is a 30-credit, on-campus program offered at the Rimouski campus through a cohort model, with intake beginning once enrollment demand is sufficient. The program develops methodological, technical, reflective, and creative autonomy for students entering the field of professional artistic creation. Coursework explores four language areas of artistic practice: visual and spatial, sonic and musical, corporeal and choreographic, and oral and textual, with digital tools integrated throughout. The 30 credits are structured across three trimesters (12, 12, and 6 credits). Admission is open to holders of a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Arts, Letters, Communication, or a related creative field; to applicants who have completed at least four university courses (12 credits) with a cumulative average of at least 2.5 on 4.3; and to applicants with at least one year of relevant experience in the field, supported by a letter of motivation. All candidates must demonstrate French language competency or complete an institutional French exam.
