Overview
The Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.A.) in Accounting Sciences at Universite du Quebec a Rimouski combines a 23-course common core with a choice of two concentrations totalling seven courses, for a 90-credit program covering financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, auditing, and business law. Students gain practical experience through Aviso, a simulated training business, and through the Banque Nationale trading room, a financial-markets laboratory, and internships completed during the program are recognized by the Ordre des CPA toward professional certification. Courses are offered on campus during weekday daytime and evening sessions, with some courses also offered at a distance, over six trimesters of full-time study, with admission in the fall and winter terms. Graduates pursue careers such as financial analyst, accounting-firm associate, management accountant, tax specialist, and administrator across public and private organizations.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold an integrated Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Science, Letters and Arts, or an equivalent college diploma in a specified stream. Candidates whose college diploma did not include at least one mathematics course must pass a mathematics competency test. Candidates who cannot demonstrate French-language proficiency under the university's French Language Policy must pass an institutional French test.
