The Certificat en arts visuels is a 30-credit undergraduate certificate at Université de Sherbrooke's Faculté des lettres et sciences humaines. The programme gives students practical and theoretical knowledge of the development of visual art, helping them build a personal, original artistic practice within a contemporary approach to visual arts, and to reflect on art's relationship with life, society, and culture, both as individuals and as members of a community. The 12-credit required core covers visual art and culture, the languages and techniques of visual art, and two sequential creation-project courses, complemented by optional courses making up the rest of the 30 credits. It is offered under a regular study regime, full-time or part-time, with admission at the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms, at the Sherbrooke main campus.
