Overview

This 90-credit programme prepares students for careers in software design and production across emerging technology fields. Four specialization profiles are offered: software development, web and mobile application development, data science, and cybersecurity and cloud computing. Students follow either a regular pathway, which includes two mandatory paid internships, or the DUAL pathway, unique in Quebec, which combines two internships with four paid courses delivered jointly with employers during the third year and is offered full-time with fall admission only. The regular pathway is offered full-time or part-time with admission each fall and winter term, on the Trois-Rivieres campus, and has no enrolment cap. The programme leads to a Bachelor of Applied Science (B. Sc. A.) in computer science.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires a DEC in Sciences de la nature, Sciences, Lettres et Arts, or Techniques de l'informatique, including the mathematics sequence 201-SN2 (or 201-SH2), 201-SN3 (or 201-SH3), and 201-SN4 (or 201-SH4). Applicants with a university diploma or at least one year of relevant IT work experience must demonstrate equivalent mathematics knowledge. The programme is non-contingent. All applicants must complete a French-language proficiency test, with conditions varying by residency status.
