Overview
This 45-credit research master's program in health sciences, offered by the Universite de Sherbrooke in extension through UQAT, trains students to conduct human health research from preventive, evaluative, and curative perspectives across disciplines relevant to the health sciences. Only the non-concentration track is offered at UQAT. The 38-credit core curriculum covers research ethics, quantitative data analysis, and methodological concepts in health sciences, alongside a supervised research activity, a research seminar, and a 22-credit thesis (memoire); up to seven additional credits are chosen as electives or personalized research activities tied to the student's project. At the time of application, candidates must propose a human-health research project under the supervision of a qualified faculty member willing to direct the work. Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree in health sciences or a related discipline, with a cumulative average of at least 3.0 on 4.3. Candidates who completed all prior studies in a language other than French must have passed the Test de francais international (TFI) with a score of at least 860 out of 990, at their own expense. At the time of application, candidates must propose a human-health research project under the supervision of a professor qualified to supervise students in the program who agrees to take on the supervision.
