Overview
This graduate diploma develops professional competencies in accounting, deepening and integrating disciplinary knowledge and building the skills needed to practise as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Quebec. The 30-credit program, offered jointly by UQAT, UQTR and UQAC, includes core courses on financial accounting and reporting, management accounting and control, business combinations, professional ethics, and two integration seminars ('Synthese I' and 'Synthese II') that build toward the CPA competency map, plus 11 elective credits chosen from advanced blocks covering certification, taxation, performance management, and financial decision-making, with a final specialization seminar track for either auditors or management controllers. Students also have the opportunity to deepen particular areas of competency according to their interests, preparing them for the CPA professional evaluation and for varied roles in public practice, industry, or the public sector.

Minimum GPA:3.20 / 4.3
Admission Requirements: Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting sciences recognized by the Quebec government under article 184 of the Code des professions, or the equivalent, completed with a cumulative average of at least 3.2 on 4.3. Candidates with an average between 2.8 and 3.2 have their file reviewed by the program director and may be admitted on recommendation, potentially with remedial coursework or a qualifying period required. A working knowledge of English is strongly recommended.
