This bachelor of science program (91 credits, three years full-time) combines biological sciences, computer science, mathematics, and statistics to train specialists in biological data management, covering the organization, storage, processing, analysis, and dissemination of biological data by computer. The program offers four concentration options and multiple study profiles, including research experience in active laboratory settings. Students who meet the required science prerequisites in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics proceed directly into coursework; applicants missing prerequisites can complete compensatory courses at the university. The program is taught in French, with admission open for both Fall and Winter terms. Graduates are prepared for roles in bioinformatics, computational biology, and related data-focused positions across biological and health sciences sectors. The program combines coursework from biology, computer science, mathematics, and statistics departments to build the interdisciplinary skill set the field requires.
