This 90-credit Bachelor of Arts at Universite Laval covers French, Quebecois, Francophone, Indigenous, and world literatures, combining literary studies with creative writing and cultural-sector practice. Students engage with literary theory and a range of textual corpora while developing research methodology and oral and written communication skills. Coursework includes both literary analysis and applied creative writing components, with some courses offered in English. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Quebec CEGEP graduates may enter with any DEC. Applicants from elsewhere in Canada need a high school diploma plus one year of university study, or must complete a preparatory pathway in letters if they hold only a secondary diploma. International applicants may qualify with an equivalent pre-university credential, including a French or Belgian secondary certificate; selection is based on the quality of the academic record. Non-francophone applicants must pass a French-proficiency test (TCF tout public) for French as a foreign or second language.
