This multidisciplinary certificate addresses population aging through nutrition, psychology, law and social-policy perspectives on older adults. It combines coursework across these fields to build an interdisciplinary understanding of aging and its effects on individuals, families and communities. The program totals 30 credits, with up to 15 credits eligible for recognition of prior learning, and is estimated at one year of full-time study across three sessions (Fall, Winter and Summer). It can be followed partially or entirely at a distance. Admission is offered for the Fall, Winter and Summer terms. The certificate serves as a complement to a disciplinary or professional credential for students working with or studying older populations, and is delivered through Université Laval's Faculty of Social Sciences.
