BA/BS in Physical Science

This programme leads to a Bachelor of Science in Physical Science at the University of Guelph. The major lets students combine study across physics, chemistry, statistics, earth sciences, computing and mathematics, with flexibility to focus their curriculum in one or more of these areas. Students may enter the major in any semester and can pair it with a minor to broaden their preparation for careers, including teaching. The Honours major requires 20.00 credits, completed over the standard eight-semester, four-year full-time course of study used across University of Guelph Bachelor of Science programmes. Coursework combines lecture, laboratory and quantitative methods across the contributing physical science disciplines. The interdisciplinary structure allows students to tailor their degree toward specific career or graduate-study goals, such as environmental science, data analysis, secondary school teaching, or further study in a specific physical science field.
