Overview
The Associate Diploma in Turfgrass Management (DTM) is a two-year applied program delivered through the University of Guelph's Guelph Turfgrass Institute. It prepares students for roles in sports field management and golf course maintenance. Coursework combines classroom instruction with field trips, hands-on labs, interpretive walks and industry guest speakers, applying research and scientific theory to turfgrass management challenges. All students complete a 15-week paid internship in the summer between the first and second year, providing supervised work experience in the turfgrass industry. Requirements
Admission Requirements: For Ontario high school applicants, completion of Grade 11 or 12 Math, Biology and Chemistry at the C, U or M level is recommended. Previous experience in the turfgrass industry is considered an asset. The estimated admission cut-off range is 65-70%.
