The Events and Conventions Management Diploma provides a practical overview of the functions, skills and knowledge required to successfully plan, organize, manage, promote and evaluate a festival, convention, trade show or special event. You’ll study the concept of event design, the strategic event planning process, and technical logistics—gaining the management skills needed to successfully execute any special event, anywhere.

Admission Requirements: The Events and Conventions Management Diploma requires Grade 12 (or equivalent, or mature-student status), English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 with a minimum of 73% (met alternatively by ESAL 0570 with ESAL 0580, or ENGL 0600 or ENGL 0601), and Foundations of Mathematics 11, Pre-calculus 11, or Foundations of Mathematics 12 at a minimum C; Pre-calculus 12 at C+ or better exempts a student from MATH 1100. The programme page advises students with limited computer experience to first take an introductory Microsoft-applications course, and applicants short of the stated prerequisites may be admitted through TRU's Flexible Entry pathway.
