Overview
The Master of Science in Clinical Studies is a thesis-based, research-intensive program in the Department of Clinical Studies focused on advancing animal and human health. Students develop expertise in the scientific process, clinical trials, and pre-clinical and comparative research, alongside training in scientific communication. The program provides access to naturally occurring veterinary clinical disorders and to Ontario's only veterinary teaching hospital, supporting translational research that spans species. Candidates complete original research under faculty supervision and submit a thesis. Full-time completion takes two years across six semesters, with a part-time option available over a longer period. Admission requires a minimum 70% average, two letters of reference from individuals able to evaluate the applicant's academic and research capabilities, and a statement of interest.
