The Bachelor of Engineering (Integrated Engineering) at the University of Lethbridge is a four-year program letting students explore chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil and software engineering areas before specializing. Students build a foundation of engineering knowledge and develop skills in design, problem-solving, communication and teamwork through hands-on labs and team-based projects tackling real-world challenges. The curriculum goes beyond traditional engineering training with business-focused courses such as Innovation and Entrepreneurship and New Venture Start-ups, and includes a semester at Lethbridge Polytechnic through a partnership arrangement for hands-on polytechnic experience. Students have access to co-operative education, international exchanges and independent and applied studies. The broad, flexible approach is designed to prepare versatile engineers for a wide range of industries, including Alberta's rural communities, and for entrepreneurial ventures. Applications are due by June 30.
