Overview
The General Major in the Social Sciences at the University of Lethbridge allows students to combine three disciplinary streams instead of completing a single-subject major. Streams are drawn from anthropology, archaeology, economics, geography, history, Indigenous studies, kinesiology, political science, psychology, sociology, and women & gender studies, giving students breadth across several fields. Admission Requirements: Domestic (Canadian high school) admission to the General Major in the Social Sciences at the University of Lethbridge requires five senior-year courses with a minimum 65% average, one of which must be a required English course (English Language Arts 30-1 in Alberta, or the provincial equivalent); the remaining courses are drawn from the university's approved subject list, which varies by province. International applicants are assessed on the same academic scale against home-country credential equivalencies through the university's international admissions office.
