This is a 50-course (150 credit hour) combined-degree program jointly offered by the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Education, leading to a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education. Students develop musicianship through an intensive studio experience covering performance, technical skills and theoretical studies in classical music, alongside professional education coursework. A Bachelor of Education after an approved undergraduate degree is also available, completed in two years. The combined-degree route takes five years and is direct entry, with admission based on the requirements of the paired non-education degree. The program is delivered at the Lethbridge campus, with intake in the Fall and Winter terms. Students perform in ensembles and studio recitals as part of their training in preparation for careers as performers, music educators or music professionals.
