This Bachelor of Environmental Design uses a sequence of design studios to explore the relationship between people and the natural and built environment, with students choosing among three specialization areas: Architecture, Interior Environments, or Landscape and Urbanism. Admission Requirements: Admission is a single competitive route via the one-year Qualifying Year (30 credit hours): EVDS 1600 Introduction to Environmental Design (3 credits, minimum C+), EVDS 1602 Visual Literacy (3 credits, minimum C+), EVDS 1680 Environmental Technology (3 credits, minimum C+), 15 credits of open electives (minimum C), a university Written English course (minimum C), and a university Mathematics course (minimum C). The minimum Adjusted Grade Point Average (AGPA) for consideration is 2.50 (C+), calculated on your most recent 60 university credit hours; because spaces are limited, a higher AGPA than the minimum may be needed to be competitive in the annual selection. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee admission. Applicants applying under the Canadian Indigenous or Individual Consideration categories must also submit a creative portfolio; the General Applicant Category (ranked by AGPA) has no portfolio requirement. No separate Direct Entry route exists for this program.
