This 90-credit Bachelor of Landscape Architecture is a three-year, full-time professional programme delivered on the Montreal campus, and is the only French-language landscape architecture programme dedicated to the discipline in North America. The curriculum is built around two axes, sustainable development and the relationship between people and their environment, and develops design, technical, and digital competencies through theory courses and design studios addressing urban, suburban, and rural sites. Completion of the degree gives eligibility for professional accreditation with the Association des architectes paysagistes du Quebec (AAPQ). Admission categories include Quebec DEC holders, university-experienced applicants with at least 12 credits, candidates with at least 24 university credits, international applicants with equivalent credentials, and transfers from other landscape architecture programmes. Graduates go on to practice in landscape design, urban planning, parks and public-space management, and environmental consulting, in public agencies, private firms, and community organizations.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: For Quebec DEC holders and university-experienced applicants, academic record is the sole selection criterion; the 2026 intake required a minimum Cote R of 24.404 (average 28.471, maximum 36.402). Applicants with prior landscape architecture studies are additionally assessed on portfolio, motivation letter, references, and a possible interview. French-language proficiency is required, met by completing secondary studies entirely in French, passing the Quebec CEGEP uniform French exam, achieving a minimum C1 level in oral and written comprehension on a recognized test within 24 months of admission, or completing at least 60 university credits in French.
