Overview

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing is an undergraduate degree from UNB's Faculty of Management, offered at the Fredericton campus with honours or concentration options that can be combined with subjects from other faculties. The curriculum covers core marketing areas such as public relations, advertising, promotions, product development, pricing, and distribution, along with consumer behaviour, e-marketing, international marketing, and market research methods. Students can pursue marketing internships and a Co-operative Education option consisting of a minimum of three four-month work terms, and coursework includes partnerships with local businesses to develop marketing strategies. Graduates develop skills in market research, data analysis and presentation, marketing strategy implementation, and international trade considerations. The program suits students interested in identifying, branding, and communicating products and services to customers, and can lead to roles such as market researcher, public relations specialist, content developer, or e-commerce specialist.

Requirements

Minimum GPA: 75.00 / %
Admission Requirements: This programme page defers to UNB's admission requirements tool rather than listing courses itself; for direct entry from a New Brunswick high school it requires the Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing English 122 at a minimum of 60%, Pre-Calculus A 120 at a minimum of 60%, Pre-Calculus B 120 at a minimum of 60%, two further Group 1 electives at a minimum of 60%, and one elective from Group 1, 2 or 3 at a minimum of 60%, for a minimum admission average of 75%. International applicants follow the same course and average requirements; those with prior post-secondary study outside Canada or the United States must submit a WES ICAP course-by-course evaluation, and this Faculty requires an overall B average in the required subjects for internationally-schooled applicants. All international applicants must also meet UNB's standard English-language requirement unless exempt: IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 85 (pre-2026) or 4.5 overall with at least 4.5 in Speaking and Writing (Jan 2026+), CAEL 60, Pearson PTE 59, Cambridge English 176, or Duolingo 115. Meeting the minimum average does not guarantee admission.

Application Details

Application Deadline: Domestic and international applicants apply through UNB's own application portal by the same published dates: for Fall 2027 entry the general deadline is 31 March 2027, and for Winter 2027 entry it is 15 November 2026, with undergraduate scholarship applications due 1 March 2027. UNB continues to accept applications after these dates while seats remain in the program, so admission is effectively rolling once the deadline passes. UNB publishes no international-specific deadline distinct from these dates. Limited-enrolment programmes close earlier: the Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education (Fredericton) close 1 December 2026, and the Bachelor of Nursing closes 15 February 2027. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
