Overview
This undergraduate program leads to an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Social Sciences, offered in English and French. Psychology is the science of human behaviour and mental processes, and the program covers the fundamentals of the discipline with a particular focus on how people learn, communicate and interact with one another, preparing graduates for further study in experimental psychology, clinical psychology, health sciences, education or administration. The 120-unit curriculum is organized into basic-skills, compulsory, optional and elective course units, completed over four years of full-time study. A French Immersion stream is available with this program. The Faculty of Social Sciences also groups the Political Science and Criminology programs administered under the same undergraduate structure.
