Forensic Psychology is offered as a Specialist (HBSc) at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Forensic science is described as the study of physical evidence in a modern legal context, or science in service to the courts, and the program applies scientific analyses, theory, laboratory skills, applications, and field techniques, with the option to specialize in a particular area in greater detail. It is delivered through partnerships with organizations including the Centre of Forensic Sciences, the Office of the Chief Coroner for the Province of Ontario, the Ontario Provincial Police, the RCMP, and numerous other police services and agencies worldwide. The psychology-focused stream combines core forensic-science training with the behavioural and psychological dimensions of forensic investigation. The Specialist is one of several forensic-science options offered at U of T Mississauga alongside Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Biology, and Forensic Chemistry.
