Hons in Psychology

Psychology at the University of Toronto is an Honours Bachelor of Science program offered at all three campuses: Mississauga, Scarborough, and St. George. It can be pursued as a Specialist, Major, or Minor, and the Scarborough and St. George locations offer a work-integrated learning option alongside the standard program. Scarborough also offers a Psychology (Health Sciences Stream) variant that combines the psychology credential with a Health Sciences Certificate. The program is grouped under the university's Health & Life Sciences area of study, described as covering the science of living systems through research, laboratory work, and interdisciplinary study. Ontario applicants need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with six courses at the 4U/M level, including English; required courses include English and Biology, with the St. George campus additionally requiring Calculus & Vectors and other campuses recommending advanced mathematics. Co-op components of Grade 12 courses are not counted toward admission. The program suits students interested in studying behaviour and mental processes from a science-based perspective, with the option to combine study with practical work experience depending on campus.
