BA/BS in Geology at University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada is a bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences & Geology programme. The programme runs for 4 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 40,894 per year (CAD 8,449 per year for local students).
This Bachelor of Science in Geology, offered through the College of Arts and Science, examines the Earth's structure and history, covering topics such as earthquakes, volcanoes, glaciers, plate tectonics, mineral formation, and past and present environmental change. Three variants are available: a three-year Bachelor of Science, a four-year Bachelor of Science, and an Honours stream. The first year establishes foundations in geology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics, after which students choose upper-level courses that include field mapping and other field-based geology courses providing hands-on fieldwork experience. The program is based on the Saskatoon campus, can be taken full-time or part-time, and admits students directly from high school. Access to research infrastructure, including synchrotron radiation facilities, supports coursework and student research. A long-standing student society associated with the department offers additional networking opportunities. Graduates become eligible to pursue professional registration. The program suits students interested in understanding Earth processes and natural hazards, as well as those aiming for careers in mineral exploration, environmental assessment, petroleum geology, or geological survey work, combining classroom instruction with practical field training.
