BA/BS in Resource Economics and Policy is a bachelor's degree in Forestry & Natural Resources programme taught at University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada. The programme runs for 4 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 41,964 per year (CAD 8,670 per year for local students).
This four-year Bachelor of Science in Renewable Resource Management combines natural science with economics and policy to address resource sustainability. Students study economics of natural resources, water, forestry, and land use alongside policy development and practical conservation strategies, and complete a capstone group project in which student teams carry out a real-world resource management project for a non-university organization. The program is offered by the College of Agriculture and Bioresources, runs full- or part-time, accepts direct entry from high school, and can be started off-campus. It emphasizes experiential learning through hands-on assessment of environmental challenges and collaborative teamwork, building project management and leadership skills. Graduates become eligible for Professional Agrologist membership through the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists. The program suits students interested in the sustainable use of land, water, and plant resources who want a policy and economics angle on environmental work, rather than a purely technical science degree, leading toward careers in environmental consulting, forestry, parks management, Indigenous resource management, and environmental advocacy.
