Overview
The Certificate in Professional Communication: Technical and Professional Writing is a 9-credit-unit undergraduate certificate delivered by the Ron and Jane Graham School of Professional Development in the College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. It develops professional writing skills for both general and scientific audiences, with a rhetorical foundation applied across course work. Students complete two courses from RCM 400.3, RCM 407.3, RCM 408.3, or RCM 410.3, plus one additional 400-level RCM elective, for a total of three courses. Courses are delivered in a traditional lecture format, with attendance required in person on the Saskatoon campus, and are offered annually during the fall and winter terms. The certificate is open to undergraduate students enrolled in any degree program at the University of Saskatchewan and can also be completed as a stand-alone credential. At least half of the coursework must be completed at the University of Saskatchewan.

Admission Requirements: Registration in the Certificate in Professional Communication: Technical and Professional Writing is available to undergraduate students who are enrolled in any degree program at the University of Saskatchewan; however, it may also be completed as a stand-alone program.
