The Master of Chemical Risk Assessment (M.R.A.) is a coursework-based graduate program offered through the University of Saskatchewan's Toxicology Centre, preparing students to evaluate the health and environmental risks of chemical exposures. The curriculum covers the principles of toxicology, risk assessment methodology, chemical fate and exposure, and regulatory frameworks, built around a sequence of twelve toxicology courses together with a graduate seminar. Students develop skills in interpreting toxicological data, assessing hazard and exposure, and communicating risk findings to inform regulatory and industry decision-making. The program does not require a thesis, focusing instead on applied coursework that equips graduates for careers in government, industry, and consulting roles related to chemical safety and environmental health. A minimum of 36 credit units is required to complete the degree, and applicants submit a statement of intent and an up-to-date curriculum vitae as part of admission.
