MA/MS in Occupational Therapy

This Master of Occupational Therapy is a course-based, full-time professional program completed over 27 months on the Saskatoon campus, combining classroom, laboratory, and clinical placement experiences intended to emphasize real-world application. The curriculum is grounded in national competencies for occupational therapists in Canada and includes roughly 30 weeks of clinical placements totalling more than 1,000 clinical hours. The program gives particular attention to the needs of Saskatchewan communities, including Indigenous, remote, rural, and urban populations, and the college reserves 8 of its 40 admission seats specifically for Indigenous applicants. Graduates become eligible to pursue national certification and practise across Canada. The program suits individuals interested in promoting health and well-being through creative, client-centred problem-solving and who want to work with diverse populations in clinical and community settings. It is structured to move students from foundational coursework into extensive supervised practice, preparing them for entry-level professional practice as occupational therapists rather than for an academic research career, since no thesis component is included.
