International Relations at the University of Toronto St. George campus is an interdisciplinary Honours Bachelor of Arts program drawing on the Departments of History, Economics and Political Science together with Trinity College. It explores the origins of war and the maintenance of peace, the nature and exercise of power within the international system, and the changing character of participants in international decision-making, introducing students to historical, political and economic methods of analysis. The Major requires 7.5 credits distributed across four years of study (2.0 in Year 1, 2.5 in Year 2, 2.5 in Year 3, 0.5 in Year 4); a Specialist option is also offered, along with focus streams such as International Economy and Canadian Foreign & Security Relations. Enrolment is limited, and admission requirements vary from year to year depending on the number of available spaces and the number of applicants.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six subjects at the 4U/M level, including English (ENG4U/EAE4U); the co-op component of Grade 12 courses is not used for admission.
