Overview
Science and Business is a Bachelor of Science programme at the University of Waterloo combining coursework in biology, chemistry and physics with courses in economics, accounting, marketing, law and entrepreneurship, split evenly between science and business content. Students can specialize in Biology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology, or take a broader range of science courses alongside the business curriculum. The programme is available through the co-op or regular system of study. Ontario secondary school applicants apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre with six Grade 12 U or M courses, including English, Advanced Functions and Calculus and Vectors (each with a minimum final grade of 70%) plus two of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Mathematics of Data Management or Physics; the competitive admission average for recent cycles has been in the low 80s. The programme begins in the September term.
