The Master of Social Work (MSW) is a health-focused, online graduate program that prepares Bachelor of Social Work graduates for advanced social work practice and leadership roles in health-related practice areas. The curriculum examines the social and structural determinants of health and builds advanced clinical and leadership skills for social work practice. Students complete a 462-hour practicum that provides hands-on professional experience under supervision, connecting coursework to real-world health and social service settings. Coursework is delivered primarily online, with the first course of the program offered as a mandatory five-day in-person, on-campus intensive session in August. The program can be completed in twelve months of full-time study or twenty-four months on a part-time basis. It is designed for practising social workers seeking to deepen their expertise in health-related practice and advance into senior clinical or leadership roles. Admission is offered for the fall term.
